George Walsh: Images in Light

George Walsh

… was born in Dublin. He studied painting and Stained Glass at the School of Art Belfast and Life Drawing at NCAD.  He worked for five years in America at the Conrad Pickel Studio, Waukesha , WI, USA.   Returning to Ireland he worked with his Father George S. Walsh (apprentice to Harry Clarke) and other stained glass artists in Clokley's Studios, Belfast.  He now works in his Dublin Studio working on both traditional and experimental fused glass projects.

George is also a regular exhibitor in the RHA and the Oireachtas exhibitions. He has had exhibitions in the Kilcock Art Gallery; Tom Caldwell Gallery, Belfast; Grafton Gallery , Dublin and Kenny Gallery Galway.
